Lewisham Deanery Day of Recollection for Extraordinary Ministers:CANCELLED The Annual Day of Recollection for Extraordinary Ministers in the Lewisham Deanery will take place on Saturday 14th March at Good Shepherd Hall Downham, from 10am with registration and Coffee.
The first session starts at 10.30am. To mark the Year of the Word of God “The God who speaks”, we have Chris Chapman from the Diocesan Spirituality Commission who will lead the Day and give us all a very positive experience of Prayer. Copies of the Diocesan Prayer Pack will also be available. We will conclude the morning with Benediction in the Church at 12.15pm.
As you know we usually have this day in October, but it was postponed last year, until now.
We have Chris Chapman from the Diocesan Spirituality Commission to lead the day, and deepen our experience of prayer. He will lead you in a really positive experience of both Word and Sacrament that will help you grow in appreciation of the Eucharist and your ministry of bringing the Lord to others.

1-Day of Recollection for Special Ministers Downham 21st October 2017
Fr Doug Bull, the Dean of Lewisham Deanery, welcomed over 80 Special Ministers from parishes across Lewisham Deanery to the Day of Recollection at Good Shepherd Parish Downham on Saturday 21st October. Fr Doug introduced Deacon Amgad Gerges who was recently ordained for Forest Hill Parish.
82 Special Ministers enjoyed a very informative and practical session led by Deacon Amgad, his own professional knowledge and experience in the field of Hematology gave his presentation added impact. The final part of the day was spent in prayer. Deacon Amgad gave Benediction to those present accompanied by some vibrant singing.
Once again we are grateful to Canon John Kavanagh and the parishioners of Good Shepherd Downham for hosting the day and also for their hospitality and welcome.
